You have seen our last comparison of Samsung Galaxy S5 with its Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 now it’s time to compare it with the flagship of Sony, the Sony Xperia Z2 and also with the LG G2. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has the dimensions of 142 x 72.5 x 8.1mm and weights 145 grams and the LG G2 has 138.5 x 70.9 x 8.9 mm dimensions and weights 143 grams almost similar to the Galaxy S5, but the Sony Xperia Z2 is bit bigger and heavier compared to other two devices in the list weighing at 158 grams and has the dimension of 146.8 x 73.3 x 8.2.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has made the phone 0.1 inch bigger than its predecessor and retained the Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) on it giving 432 ppi, whereas the same resolutions can be seen on the other two devices also with 5.2 inch display on both but the ppi has changed a bit with the LG G2 having a ppi of 424 and the Sony Xperia Z2 has a 423 ppi. We cannot find much difference between these as all are good enough giving better viewing angles.

The Galaxy S5 has added a couple of more unique features to help it stand out with its fingerprint sensor that adds security and has the Heart rate sensor that will keep the health of the user intact, moreover the flagship has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad core chipset clocking at 2.5 MHz accompanied by Adreno 330 GPU and 2 GB of RAM and will be running on latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
The LG G2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad core chipset, clocking at 2260 MHz and is coupled with Adreno 330 and the same 2 GB of RAM running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, where as the Xperia Z2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad core chipset, same chipset found in the Galaxy S5 and is coupled with Adreno 330 and a improved 3 GB of RAM and will be running on Android 4.4 KitKat Operating System.
Camera – Rear & Front
The LG has a 13 MP camera with optical image stabilization, compared to the 16 MP on the Samsung Galaxy S5, or the 20.7 MP of the Z2. Except the device from LG the other two devices offer 4K video recording. The front facing camera on the Sony Xperia Z2 is at 2.2 MP and the other two device feature a 2.1 MP camera.
Storage
In the three handsets only the G2 doesn’t have a microSD slot for storage expansion and comes with 32 GB of memory out of the box the other two devices has a 16 GB of inbuilt memory that can be further extendable via micro SD card slot.
Pricing and Final Verdict
This is quite a tough competition between the three devices – the Samsung Galaxy S5, the LG G2 and the Xperia Z2, which are good at their own part, but the LG G2 doesn’t lead in most of the aspects, and the other two are quite similar with the display, processor but the Xperia Z2 has got 3GB RAM while the Galaxy S5 has not got any upgrade with the RAM, thus we can see 2GB RAM in it.
