Whenever you try to switch to a new device, irrespective of the operating system it has got, you would wonder how to get things done and start off with the new device. In that, an important part is the contacts transferring and that is not easy always unless you are using the same OS, which makes it easier due to the availability of the several apps, and when it comes to Android OS, the Google account does the job easier.
Talking about the Nokia X smartphone, the device has got the Nokia X platform which is based on the Google Android but is a forked version of it, and it restricts the usage of the Google apps, and thus you won’t be able to sync the contacts with your Google account. That is where you will need to look for alternatives, and although they might not be the easiest and best ways, you have no option other than this.

Method 1
To transfer the contacts from the Android phone to the Nokia X, there are a few apps which would do the job and make it easier than you thought. One of them is called the “Contacts Transfer” app which is available on the Nokia Store and you can’t find an easier option than this, because the phone which would be the source (your older phone) doesn’t have to do anything except for turning the Bluetooth On, and everything else is done by the app in the Nokia X.
Method 2
But, there is always room for alternatives and that is where I would suggest the app named InTouchApp. This is an app which would do two jobs for you. Firstly, the contacts transfer and the second – it would keep a backup of all contacts in the cloud so that you can sync the contacts with any other phone too, and this is across multiple mobile operating systems – Android, iOS, Blackberry, Symbian, Windows Phone.
You just need to register yourself in the app, and it would then start syncing all the contacts and take a backup of it. Once that is done, you could install the same in any other smartphone, and here as we talk about the Nokia X, you just have to download the APK from the link given below and install in the Nokia X and start restoring the contacts from the Intouchapp account.
