How to Update HTC Incredible with ICS 4.0 Based AOKP Firmware

This firmware is not an Official custom ROM firmware which is released by HTC and also we don’t have any updates on by when there will be an official ICS release.

For applying this update, you need to go through the list of express Pre Requisites along with the guide which we have mentioned in the next page. For applying this update, it’s important that you root your device as it can’t be applied on the Stock / Default firmware.

Pre Requisites:

  • Visit the Official unrevoked website and need to select the HTC Incredible device. Up next, you need to install the HBoot drivers in your computer if you are on the Windows based operating system. Ensure that your phone is already rooted.
  • Connect your HTC Incredible to the computer and install the unrevoked software and once the installation is done, you can then easily boot your device in the Clock Work Mod recovery.
  • Download the Root Checker application from PLAY Store to check on whether the device has been rooted or not. If it’s rooted, download “Super User” application from the PLAY Store and install all the libraries.
  • Enable the USB Debugging in your Device from the Settings, ensure that device is left with the minimum of 60% charge so as to ensure that it doesn’t turn off in the process of firmware update. Disable / Uninstall all the antivirus or security suites present in your device as these tools generally tend to interrupt the firmware update process.
