Procedure to Update HTC Incredible with AOKP ICS Firmware:
- Download the AOKP ICS Build Firmware from here to your computer along with the Google Apps Package. Once downloaded, connect your HTC Incredible with the original USB cable and place this zip file in your device.
- Once copied, disconnect the phone connected from computer and turn off your device so that it can be entered in the recovery mode via boot loader mode.
- To enter into the recovery mode, press the volume Down Key and simultaneously you need to press the Power button so as to enter in the boot loader Mode. In the boot loader mode, you then need to tap on the “Recovery” option. With the help of below image you can get more idea on how to enter your device in the boot loader mode.
- In recovery mode, select “Clear storage” which will clear all the data which is there in your phone. After this, select “install zip from SD Card” > “Choose zip from SD Card” to select the AOKP ICS Build firmware in your phone..
- After selecting, you will be asked to confirm the same which you can do by selecting “yes”. Now, all you need to do is to just wait for the firmware to get applied successfully. Once its done, the phone will land back to the recovery screen.
- In recovery mode screen, select “reboot system now” for rebooting the device. Just in a rare case if the device refuses to boot up or gets into the boot loop sequence, you need to re insert he battery and apply the update again.
