- After selecting the OPS and tar files exactly as shown above, click on ‘Start’ button to initiate the updating process. This may take few minutes, so don’t interrupt the process in the middle otherwise you need to start the process again from the beginning. Once the process is completed, your phone restarts automatically indicating that the process of firmware update has completed successfully. So, now turn OFF the phone and ON it again to enter into the recovery mode. To enter into the recovery mode, press T + Power button simultaneously.
- In the recovery mode, select the options like wipe data/factory reset and Wipe Cache partition to delete the cache files which are generated in the process of updation, to damage your applications on the phone. So, in order to avoid the damage we have to clear all the cache files as mentioned above. Now, reboot your phone using the option ‘reboot system now’ and enter the language preferences and Google account preferences.
