How To Update Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 with HTC Sensation Custom ROM Firmware

Instructions for the users on the Custom ROM:

  • Just in case if you are on the custom ROM firmware, then you first need to enter the recovery mode and then you will have to select the options like Wipe Cache partition and Wipe Data as after doing this you will see that all the cache data will be deleted. Also, just in case if the Voodoo components are installed then you need to disable the same from the “advanced” option in recovery mode. Also, for more better performance you also need to wipe the dalvik cache as well as the battery stats for further enhanced performance in your Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000.

Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

  • After backup, you will now have to proceed to charge the phone to more than 75% so as to just ensure that the phone doesn’t get turned Off in the process of the firmware update.
  • After this you will have to proceed to enter the recovery mode after which you will have to select the options like Wipe Cache partition and Wipe Data so that this will delete all the cache files of the last firmware will get cleared.
