Procedure to apply Simply Honey 5.1 version on Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000:
- First up you need to update the Galaxy S GT I9000 to XXJVR 2.3.4 after that you need to Root Galaxy S GT I9000 on XXJVR 2.3.4 firmware and then you will have to download the ROM Manager application from the Android Market Place. Once the ROM Manager is installed, you will be able to find for the applications which are the “CWM” as well as the “Super User”.
- After this you need to download two files which are “SamsungGALAXY_SH_5.1_LightCWM.zip” and also another file named “SamsungGALAXY_SH_5.1_FullPack.zip” in your computer. Please note that you should not rename or modify the files in any manner or else there is a high probability that n these files won’t be supported by the phone.
- Now, after this you will have to connect the Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 to the computer with the help of USB cable and then you will have to move these downloaded files into your phone as it is. - The recovery mode can be entered by pressing the Volume Up Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Just in case if the phone starts in the normal mode then you will have to again start the phone into the recovery mode.
- Now, in the recovery mode, you will have to select the option of “install zip from SD card” which you can select using the Volume up / down key and can select the option by pressing the Power button which is there on the right hand side of the phone. As soon as you select the option, you will no need to choose the option of “choose zip from SD Card” after which it will show all the zip files which are present in your phone along with other files which are there in your device. Now, select the file named as “SamsungGALAXY_SH_5.1_LightCWM.zip” and then after that you will se that the process of firmware update will be started and then the as soon as the process gets done select the option of “Go Back” and then reboot the phone if it doesn’t reboot on its own.
- Now, after successful booting of the phone, again get into the recovery mode and select Wipe Cache partition after which you need to reboot your device by selecting reboot system now so that all the all the cache files are deleted and then choose the option of “install zip from SD card” and “choose zip from SD Card” to choose the zip file which is named as “SamsungGALAXY_SH_5.1_FullPack.zip”. So, in this way again the firmware will be flashed after that if the phone reboots automatically then it’s ok, or else you will have to select the option of “Go Back” and select “reboot system now” then that’s it you can now successfully enjoy the Goodness of Simply honey ROM 5.1 version.
