How To Update Samsung Galaxy SL GT I9003 with Stable Gingerbread based Nexus S Custom ROM Firmware

Pre Requisites:

  • In the process of the firmware application in your Galaxy SL I9003, the data which is there in phone will get erased, so you will have to ensure that all the data which is stored in the phone is backed up so that the same can be restored at any point of time after the firmware upgrade if the data is lost. Generally, the data which is stored in the phone gets lost which includes SMS, Contacts and other data which is stored in the phone. SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
ContactsSync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore

  • After this you will have to ensure that the phone is having a charge of minimum 75% so as to ensure that the phone doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of firmware update.
  • Now, up next is you need to check whether the current firmware on your Samsung Galaxy SL I9003 is XXKPE version of Gingerbread or not.
