Vivo broke the suspense when it announced the Xshot phone in China, and for now, this device would be available in the Chinese market with no details about the International availability. The Xshot is the high-end device from Vivo, and it comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p LCD display. Based on the internal specs, the Vivo Xshot will be available in two variants –
- Flagship one will have the Snapdragon 801 SoC, quad-core chipset clocking at 2.5 Ghz, along with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage
- Elite version having the Snapdragon 800 processor, quad-core chipset clocking at 2.3 Ghz, along with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage
The phone comes with the LTE connectivity, Maxim MAX97220 headphone amplifier, 2600 mAh battery and it would have the Funtouch OS from Vivo, which is based on Android 4.4 Kitkat. The name suggests something about the camera, which is the main area of focus from Vivo, as both the cameras in the device come with a lot of inclusions as expected –
- 13-megapixel rear camera, f/1.8 aperture from Sony with the OIS, two stage shutter button, Dual tone LED flash and the 4k video recording
- 8-megapixel front camera, LED flash

The inclusion of the LED for the 8MP front camera is something new and helpful for capturing selfies in the dark conditions.
Both the versions of the Vivo Xshot are going to be available by the end of May 2014, and the pricing is set at CN¥3,498 (about $560) for the flagship version, and CN¥2,998 (about $480) for the Elite version.
