The Indian smartphone manufacturer, Xolo today has launched a new entry-level smartphone dubbed as Xolo Era HD. The smartphone is the direct successor to the Xolo Era smartphone that launched in July this year. The Era HD is available in Rocky Grey color variant and is priced at Rs. 4,777.
As the name indicates, the Xolo Era HD flaunts a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display offering a pixel density of 294ppi. It comes equipped with a Spreadtrum (SC7731G) quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with Mali 400 MP GPU and 1GB RAM. The device packs 8GB of internal storage that can be further expanded upto 32GB using a microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the smartphone features an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing shooter for video chats and perfect selfie images. The device supports dual sim dual standby and comes with standard connectivity options like 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port.
The handset boasts a 2500mAh battery that offers upto 10 hours of talk time and can last upto 550 hours of standby time. 141.70 x 70.70 x 8.10 mm and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The Era HD at this price tag comes with decent specifications, but it will have to face tough competition from the likes of Lenovo A2010 priced at Rs. 4,990 and Yu Yunique priced at Rs. 4,999 that offers not only similar specifications but also supports 4G-LTE connectivity.
A quick recall, Xolo has recently launched a new mid-range smartphone called as Xolo Black 1X. The device comes with impressive specifications and is priced aggressively at Rs. 9,999. The Black 1X features 5-inch 1080p display, MediaTek MT6753 Octa-core SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 4G-LTE support, 13MP rear camera with PDAF technology, 5MP front camera and 2400mAh battery.
