  1. Hi, I would like to know if this firmware update is affected by geographical location? ie I’m from south africa and my froyo baseband version is s5830xxkb1, do I not need a xxkb1 gingerbread baseband version, could this affect things like hsdpa availability as I know there are different frequencies for mobile internet in different countries?

    Thank you

    Simon Crampton

    • we are checking the same!

      • Same problem here! I cannot download the DDKQ5, something regarding “page not found” and even though there’s DDKQ6 I read that DDKQ5 is better… your opinion?…
Also I got a a FROYO.UBKD1 / 2.2.1 and I would like to check with you if I can follow all the steps on this post because it seems like my carrier got the phone blocked. I just read that it might be a problem ‘case I’m located on Latin America but I’m not sure… and if you recommend DDKQ5 could you please try to upload the link again :3
Sorry for the questions but I’m new on this :S
