Today, HTC has sent out media invites for an event scheduled in India on November 25. The invite comes with a charcoal background, with words “save the date – 25. 11. 2015.” Though there is no information on what will be launched, we can expect the company to unveil the HTC One A9 smartphone that was launched in October. Alongside the One A9, there are speculations that HTC can also announce the mid-range Desire 828 smartphone in India.
The HTC One A9 is the brand’s first all-metal smartphone and sports the design that highly resembles the Apple’s iPhone 6. The device features a 5-inch Full-HD display, latest Snapdragon 617 octa-core SoC, 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB/32GB storage, 13MP rear camera, 4MP Ultra-Pixel front shooter and 2150mAh battery. The One A9 also features a fingerprint sensor embedded directly in the physical home button and is also the first non-Nexus device to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
The HTC Desire 828 is the mid-range smartphone that launched in China earlier this month. The Desire 828 sports a 13MP rear camera with OIS, LED flash and a Ultra-Pixel front shooter for selfie lovers. It is the first smartphone in the Desire series to feature a camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support. The other specifications of the device are 5.5-inch 1080p display, MediaTek octa-core SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, 4G-LTE connectivity, 2800mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
Although the company officially confirms nothing we advise you to take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned for more details about the launch, pricing and availability details of the smartphones on November 25.
