This all new version is the Gingerbread release 2.3.4 with the version name as XXKQ5. Though this is not the Official release of firmware for Galaxy Gio from Samsung Electronics but it’s a beta firmware which can almost be called as the final release from the Samsung. Since it’s a beta release there will be some bugs but the same will be fixed as in when the next update patch will be released. This update brings a respite for all those who always wanted a stable firmware with better battery backup and with faster user interface.So, any one with the Samsung Galaxy Gio S5660 phone from any part of the Globe and with irrespective of the current firmware version the user is on can proceed with this procedure to update the phone easily. The only condition is that you need to follow the instructions which are mentioned in this article. Since it’s a beta release of the firmware, you need to update the same using the Odin flash tool rather than using the KIES which is the official firmware upgrade tool provided by the Samsung.
