As per the company YU Yunique is the cheapest smartphone with Snapdragon 410 SoC. Now, the company is rumoured to launch a high-end smartphone named as YU Yutopia. Though the device was rumoured to launch on Sep 8 with Yu Yunique but it didn’t happen. Now, the new sources suggest that the smartphone is likely to be launched in coming month, i.e., October.
The Yutopia could be the YU 5050, which was leaked via benchmark results earlier this month ahead of the YU Yunique launch. YU founder, Rahul Sharma, tweeted about the phone last week, calling it the real beast.

The Yu Yutopia (YU 5050) comes in two variants one with 3GB RAM, FHD display and the other with 4GB RAM, 2K display. It comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz alongside Adreno 430 GPU. The company claims that once unveiled it will be the cheapest handset to employ the Snapdragon 810 SoC. As per now OnePlus 2 and Doogee F3 are considered as the world’s most affordable smartphones with Snapdragon 810 chipset to be ever announced.
The device has 32GB onboard storage with microSD card support for further expansion. The benchmark results also indicated 21-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front facing camera and 4G-LTE connectivity. Like other YU devices, YU Yutopia will also run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based Cyanogen 12.1 OS. With these high-end specifications, YU Yutopia will be a good competitor for the likes of OnePlus 2 and other high-end smartphones.
The Zauba listing also reveals few units already shipped to India, and since the official launch is not far away, we can expect more details about the device to be leaked. So stay tuned for complete information!
