The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer, Acer has launched a range of smartphones in its new Liquid Z series called as Liquid Z330, Liquid Z530 and Liquid Z630 in Malaysia. All the three smartphones support dual sim dual standby with 4G-LTE connectivity and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Acer Liquid UI out of the box. The Liquid Z330, Z530 and Z630 are currently available at all authorised Acer dealers and are priced at RM439 (approx $103), RM559 (approx $131) and RM659 (approx $155) respectively.
Let’s talk about the smartphones in detail:
Acer Liquid Z330
The Acer Liquid Z330 is an entry-level smartphone and comes with all the basic specifications required in a smartphone. It flaunts a 4.5-inch (480×854 pixels) FWVGA IPS display and comes powered by Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz coupled with Adreno 304 GPU and 1GB RAM. The device has 8GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card slot.
The device sports a 5MP rear camera with LED a flash and a 5MP fixed focus front shooter for video calling and selfie lovers. The smartphone comes backed by a 2000mAh battery that is rated to last upto 11 hours of talk time and upto 430 hours of standby time. The dimensions of the handset measure 136 x 66.5 x 9.6 mm weighs around 142 grams and is available in colors- Mystic Black & Pure White.
Acer Liquid Z530
The Acer Liquid Z530 falls in mid-range category and is a selfie-centric smartphone. It features a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display offering a pixel density of 294 ppi and Zero Air Gap design. Under the hood, is the MediaTek MT6735 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with Mali 400 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage and microSD card slot for expansion upto 32GB.
On the photographic section, the device sports an 8MP rear and front-facing shooters to capture every moment. The rear camera of the smartphone also features autofocus and LED flash. It comes backed by a 2420mAh battery that can easily last for an entire day on mixed usage. The dimensions of the smartphone measure 144 x 70.3 x 8.9 mm weighs 145 grams and is available in Black and White color variants.
Acer Liquid Z630
Acer Liquid Z630 is the best among all the devices and is a battery-focused smartphone. The Liquid Z630 sports a 5.5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD display with 267ppi as pixel density and comes backed by a massive 4000mAh battery. With that huge battery, it can also act as a power bank to charge other devices using OTG functionality. Apart from the large display and massive battery capacity, rest of the specifications of the Liquid 630 are similar to the Liquid Z530.
Acer Liquid X2
Apart from the Liquid Z series smartphones, the company also announced an upper mid-range smartphone in its Liquid X series called as Acer Liquid X2. It will come in colors Black and Gold, and will be available from January 2016. The device features a 5.5-inch HD display, 64-bit Octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage, 13MP front and rear cameras with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash and 4000mAh battery. The main USP is it supports triple SIM with 4G-LTE connectivity and is one of the first devices to have such support in Malaysia.
