- HTC has announced their latest smartphone in One series – HTC One ME in China. It is powered by the most advanced 64-bit Mediatek octa-core Helio X10 processor. The specifications include a 5.2-inch QuadHD (2560×1440) display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage with micro SD card slot. There is a 20MP rear camera and 4MP UltraPixel front-facing camera. The pricing and availability of the device is not mentioned, and we can’t even expect this device to be launched outside of Asia.

- A new Vivo smartphone is now listed on the TENAA website. As per the listing, the device is the Vivo X5 Max Platinum, which is the successor for last years Vivo X5 Max. The latest device comes with a thickness of 7.2mm while its predecessor is dubbed as the world’s slimmest smartphone with a thickness of 4.75mm. Except the battery of 4,150mAh capacity on X5 Max Platinum, most of the specifications are same on both the devices.

- This week a new processor aimed at the mid-range devices has been announced by Mediatek. The company announced the first processor in its Helio P series – ‘Helio P10’. It will be available from Q3 2015 and can be seen in consumer products by the end of this year.

- Asus had finally announced the ZenFone Selfie after been easing with the teaser image on the social networking sites. As the name suggests, the ZenFone Selfie comes with a 13MP front-facing along with dual LED flash and remaining specifications of the device remains same as of previously ZenFone 2. The company also released the second version of ZenWatch and few tablets under the new ‘ZenPad’ lineup.

- HTC launched its One E9+ in India for Rs. 36,790 (~ $575). The device sports a 5.5-inch QuadHD display and is powered by a Mediatek MT6795M octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz and 2GB of RAM. Almost all the other specifications are same as compared to the One M9+, which additionally comes with a fingerprint scanner.

- Meizu, a Chinese company that recently entered into India with its mid-range ‘M1 Note’. This week Meizu officially launched the successor for the M1 Note in China dubbed as M2 Note. The device sports a physical home button below the 5.5-inch FullHD display. The device was made available in China with pricing of ¥799 (~ $130)for 16GB model and ¥999 (~ $160) for the 32GB model.

- LG had finally announced the launch date for its flagship ‘LG G4’ in India as June 19th. The launch event will happen in Mumbai, and the device will come with dual-SIM support. The company offers extra accessories for free; it includes Metallic finish back cover, extra battery with charging cradle and one-time screen replacement. The price of the LG G4 is Rs. 49,999 (~ $780) and is available for pre-booking.

- ZTE had launched its latest flagship Nubia Z9 few weeks back in China, but there are no details about the availability of device outside of China. This week the company announced that Nubia Z9 will be launched in U.S by the end of Q3 of 2015. Three variants of the device will be launched and are to be priced from $564 to $725.

- The next version of Samsung Galaxy S6 is rumoured to be released in the next few weeks. The codenamed ‘Project Zero 2’ which rumoured previously as a Grand device. But it will be the larger version of S6 edge featuring double edges. It will be called as ‘Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus’ and powered by a Snapdragon hexa-core 808 SoC.

- After waiting for a much longer time, Finally, the users of ZenFone 4, 5 and 6 might see their devices running on Android Lollipop. The company said the OTA update will be pushed in stages. You can update it now by manually downloading it from the Asus official website. Asus also stated few problems with the new update and will be fixed with a micro update.

- A new report stated that HTC is going to launch new line-up of devices in October. In the meeting with Shareholders, Cher Wang, CEO of HTC said the company will take steps to reduce the cost of production, to optimise its supply chain and to outsource the orders.
