Wishtel a company based out of Mumbai, India has come up with an Android powered tablet and they are branding with ‘IRA’ tablet. Wishtel has launched three tablets in Indian market and they are named as Ira, Ira Thing and Ira Icon. These three tablets are price with Rs 4,000, Ira Thing 5,500 and no pricing has been revealed for Ira Icon tablet. The specifications of Ira and Ira Thing are same and Ira Icon is the high end tablet among the three tablets.
Wishtel during the launch of this tablet said that these tablets comes with pre installed with various apps such as media player, Skype, Gtalk and weather but let us tell you that it comes pre installed with the Android operating system and nothing is new here.
Ira Tablet
Ira is a 7 inches Android tablet which comes out with a think and high resolution display screen. With its slim body and convenient touch it’s quite easy to operate and you can enjoy your life. The Android version included in this tablet is the Android 2.2 Froyo OS. This tablet comes with Wi Fi internet access and supports external 3G data card and includes connectivity via WCDMA, EVDO, TD SCDMA. This tablet also includes the 2800 mAh battery which comes with Lithium Poly battery providing 5 hours of video playback or 3 G usage or Wi Fi internet access. This is quite low for a tablet. It comes with USB 2.0 High speed connectivity and the package includes the adapter, user manual, usb cable and the earpiece.
The specifications of this tablet are same as that of the Ira tablet and it comes in the black and white variants.

Ira Icon is the high end tablet in comparison with the above two tablets. It comes with 7 inches TFT display screen with capacitive touch and includes version of Android as 2.3 Gingerbread. This comes with Cortex A8 processor clocked at 1.2 Ghz and has Wi Fi internet access. It also comes with built in WCDMA 3G internet access and has the option of capacitive TP and resistive.
It comes with various video playback supports such as Avi, H.264, Divx, Xvid, rm, rmvb, WMV, MOV, Mp4, DAT, MPEG, MPG, FLV, ASF, TS, TP, 3GP, MPG etc., and includes audio format supports of MP3, WMA, mp2, oGG, AAC, M4A, FLAC, APE, 3GP, WAV and picture support in the format of JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP and PNG.
It comes with 4000 mAh battery which provides a complete 8 hours of the playback time and this tablets weight 220 grams.
