The Indian tablet PC market has seen several tablet launches coming one after another from world leading vendors and the local Indian vendors as well. The tablet PC market in India is still a new market of niche and it’s quickly picking up the pace in terms the adoption is considered. On the other side we are so minded that we see only Aakash tablet price but no tablet can come at that price. Who thinks that giving competition to Aakash is not possible? Ofcourse we have seen better alternatives to Aakash. The budget minded Indian tablet market has witnessed several tablets priced below Rs 10,000 and the recent few tablets like Micromax Funbook and Karbonn Smart Tab1 have come up with par 6,000 price tag. The latest addition to the tablets comes from Telmoco as they have launched the Attitude Daksha tablet in India.
Attitude Daksha Tablet
Attitude Daksha tablet is designed to compete with faulty Aakash tablet by Indian government. Atleast users would know that instead of buying a tablet which gives you nothing it’s better to spend another 2,000 bucks and go for a better tablet. Speaking on the launch of this tablet Telmoco, they claims that this is the most powerful tablet accordingly with features and they intended to target it to the students as well the professionals.
Going through the specifications of the Daksha tablet it comes with powerful ARM Cortex A8 processor with dual core capabilities clocked at 1.5 Ghz. As we know that general form factor of these tablet is 7 inches, nothing much to speed as it comes with capacitive touchscreen with 5 multi touch true bright LCD screen display. This tablet also comes with 512 MB DDR3 RAM to handle through various multi tasking, HDMI port, micro sd card slot, 3.5 mm headphone jack, micro USB port and OTG connector by which users can add 3G USB dongle and RJ45IAN cable. These are the specification most tablets in India have at this price range but going through with dedicated ARM Mali 500 Mhz GPU for graphics support to run various games and render videos perfectly and comes with 1080p full HD video playback support. The internet access is also possible through the inbuilt Wi Fi support and Wi Fi tethering can also be done. So various options of internet connectivity are available to this tablet. Interestingly this tablet comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich pre installed in this tablet which is the latest Android operating system.
Daksha tablet measures a thickness of 10.1 mm, might not be the slimmest but good enough with weight of 300 grams and width x length measuring 119 mm x 195 mm. This tablet also comes with front facing VGA camera as well along with 4 GB inbuilt memory and a micro SD card to support 32 GB of storage externally.
Daksha tablet is powered with 3800 mAh Lithium Polymer battery which comes with 6 hours of battery backup on continuous usage. Various sensors like 3 axis accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, barometer, gyro meter make this tablet handy.
Attitude Daksha vs Micromax Funbook
As we see both Attitude Daksha and Micromax Funbook tablets, they both are same tablet. Both comes from the same vendor in China and hence they have the similar form factors and one can clearly say that this tablet is from the same manufacturer.

We know that Micromax Funbook is priced at Rs 6500 and no other tablet is as interesting as that until now but going through the specifications above and features provided in the data sheet we can clearly say that Daksha is the tablet which beats them all. Daksha tablet though it’s the same in looks as that of Funbook and has high end features, its priced at Rs 5,300 which is atleast 1,000 Rs less than its competitor here. This tablet is set to be introduced to schools, professional institutions and corporate offices from 15th May 2012. This tablet would also be made available at leading retail outlets and stores around India.
