We have another low cost Android tablet as the new Wammy 7 is been launched by Wicked Leak which might be the perfect competitor of government’s Aakash tablet in India. Speaking at the event the representative from Wicked Leak said that they tablet market segment in India would go further and its quickly picking up the pace. This tablet is been targeted to schools, professional institutes and corporates as well.
Going through the specifications of the Wammy 7 tablet PC it’s would come out with 7 inches display providing viewing of 1080p full HD videos easily. Its powered with 1.2 Ghz ARM Cortex A10 All winner processor just capable enough to execute the task easily with 512 MB of DDR3 RAM and 400 Mhz CPU allows graphical acceleration to play games. For internet connectivity there is Wi Fi and users can add external 3G USB dongle using the stick as it has a USB 2.0 port.
The tablet would be powered with 3800 mAh Lithium Polymet battery which provides a talk time of 4 hours when the Wi Fi is ON. This would come out with various connectivity options like USB 2.0 port for 3G Dongle connectivity, RJ 45 port, HDMI connectivity and 3.5 mm audio port.
Wammy 7 tablet PC would retail in the Indian market at price of Rs 5,249 excluding taxes. Considering the price this would compete with Attitude Daksha tablet which si available at the same price tag of Rs 5,400.
