- LG launched a new smartphone ‘LG Band Play’ in South Korea. The special feature of the Band Play is the 1-watt speaker for the rich sound experience, LG also equipped the package with an LG QuadBeat 3 earphones. Coming to the other specifications, Band Play features a 5-inch HD (720×1280) display powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor along with 2GB of RAM. It has 13MP rear camera with laser autofocus and wide-angle 5MP front camera. The device has a battery of 2,300mAh capacity, and it is a 4G enabled device. It comes in two colour options – Black and White, and to be available for only South Korea at the moment for a price of 394,800 KRW (approx $356).

- Sony in an attempt to be the first manufacturer to test out the Android M on its devices has released the Developer Preview for quite a few devices. The developers who had enrolled in Sony’s Open Device Program can test and verify apps on the latest Android update. The list of devices includes all the Xperia Z series smartphones and tablets along with the Xperia M2, Xperia E3, Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia T3.

- The users of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge had earlier reported that the quick settings toggles are gone missing. To fix this is bug Samsung somehow not pushed OTA update, instead the company released an app called ‘Quick Panel Restore.’ The users of the latest Galaxy devices can download the app from the Galaxy App Store. Once installed the app and opened, you will find a ‘Restore’ button with a blue background. Tap on that button to restore all the missing quick toggle settings.

- As Apple launching its mucic streaming service by the end of this month, Google announced that it will provide free music streaming via Google Music that will be ads supported. The service wasn’t made available all over the world till date. The streaming will be like listening to a radio, as you don’t have any control over what content you want to listen. Google says, consumers don’t bother with which music to listen until and unless music is good and consumers believe in a lean-back music experience. There will be no option to download for offline use.

- This week we got the confirmed date for the launch of OnePlus 2 as 27th of July. The launch will be live through a Virtual Reality, everyone around the world can watch this live event by using a VR headset. The company revealed on their social media account that it will feature USB Type-C port and will be powered by version 2.1 of Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset. With this news, OnePlus 2 will be the first major brand to come up with a USB Type-C port. OnePlus also confirmed that it will not cost anything more than the rumoured price of $322.

- ZTE unveiled two new smartphones ZTE Maven and ZTE Sonata 2 for the US markets. These devices will be exclusive for AT&T and Cricket. Both the devices features an FWVGA (480×800) resolution display. The Maven comes powered by a Snapdragon 410 SoC while the Sonata 2 comes with Snapdragon 200 chipset. There is 1GB of RAM found common on this devices. The ZTE Maven will be available in AT&T stores and also at the att.com website for a price of $59.99 off-contract. - Huawei officially unveiled a new tablet – MediaPad M2, it is the successor for last years MedaiPad M1. The new tablet comes with an 8-inch FullHD (1920×1080) display with dual front-facing speakers. There is an anodized aluminium frame around the device, and it will be powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 930 octa core processor with 2GB of RAM. The device has a 4,800mAh of battery and runs on Android 5.0 based WMUI 3.0. It will be available in the colours – Silver and Gold. - Sony launched the Xperia Z3+ in India for Rs. 55,990. As we already know this is the same device that was launched in Japan as Xperia Z4. The device made available in the colours – Aqua Green, Black, Copper and White. - Few images allegedly showing Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are found on the internet. The leak suggests that the device features a 5.5-inch display along with curved screens on both the edges. It also suggests that it comes with USB Type-C port. The device is to be powered by a Snapdragon 808 chipset running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It is expected to arrive in the 3rd quarter of 2015.
